About Corona . . .

The story of Corona Brushes, Inc. spans thousands of miles and eight decades, but our commitment to traditional principles — quality, ingenuity, and hard work — still prevails in the modern world.

In a small village amidst the turmoil of post-World War I Russia, Jude Waksman learned the trade of processing hog bristles for paintbrush manufacturing. The desire to create a better life for his family led him to Havana, Cuba, where the family enterprise was born, and later to Tampa, Florida.

As Jude and his sons, David and Gregory, adapted their paintbrushes to a new market, they slowly earned the loyalty of independent dealers. Painters learned that the Corona name meant quality painting tools.

Three generations have now passed since Jude Waksman began his family business. And while history has changed the world, the principles and traditions on which Jude built his company continue to guide the daily operations of Corona Brushes.
